We are proud to welcome our first Sponsor and second vendor, War Diary Magazine!
A traditional wargaming magazine, decidedly old-school in approach. Each print issue of War Diary features articles on military history, game play and variants, game reviews, commentary, interviews with gaming personalities, and insight from game designers and developers.
Contract and check is in the mail. LLC formed.
Apparently it is a bit complicated to open a business checking account. I hope like hell I can get it finally done on Friday.
Then I can open registration!

However the contract is not signed. I hope they have it done for me by end of first week of February.
Here is a quick look at the chosen venue. The convention will take place in October.
The Vicksburg convention center is located right on the river, in Vicksburg Mississippi
I should have ten 10X10 vendor booths available.
I am still looking at costs but I should have a contract signed and a firm date by this weekend.
Planning is proceeding at a good pace. I am involved in talks with the Vicksburg Convention Center and looking at costs. I will share an update with that soon because I think people might find it interesting.
I am thinking October instead of my original idea of August. It’s less crowded convention-wise, and the weather is better
I am planning on having Jack Greene as a guest and I want to reach out to Lou Zocchi as well.
Looks like my first step is forming a LLC. I should get that done this week.
There is movement on a piece I was a waiting on to make this convention happen. If it all goes well I will be in a position to move forward at the end of October.
I was just about to start looking at the feasibility of a Kickstarter to raise funds to host the convention. That could still be a possibility as I want to have this convention next year one way or another.
I am working to bring a Wargaming convention to Vicksburg Mississippi in October of 2021.
